Why you should visit Cumbria

A place to enjoy the finest of food, good real ales and fine wines.  There is a thriving nightlife with an excellent choice of quality restaurants, pubs and clubs.   Whether it is a well earned pint of real ale, after an energetic walk with friends, a delicious pub lunch with the family or a full blown three course dinner to celebrate your special occasion, there are plenty of places to choose from.  There is a good trade in local produce, with many eating establishments wherever possible, sourcing their raw ingredients locally.

But the real jewels in the crown are the people that live here.  Though known for their friendly disposition and lively banter.  It is their unique sense of humour one cannot help but fall in love with.  The warm welcome all visitors receive keeps people returning to the area year after year.  Many love it so much they take up permanent residence.

If you want the wild outdoors, the wind in your hair and the fresh air in your lungs, followed by a cosy evening in front of a log fire in a local pub, this is your location.  An area with fine hotels with great conference facilities, good pubs, hostels, camp sites, there is something to suit everyone and all budgets.

An area steeped in history, with more than a sprinkling of magic, makes this an excellent choice of location for any memorable get together, party, company event, team building experience or simply a weekend away with the family.

Everyone that comes to the area goes home with a more positive outlook, feeling inspired, happier and certainly more relaxed.
